  3. Welcome to April 1997 Supportfolio 1.3 PatchFinder
  4. data CD.  This CD contain patches for Irix 6.2
  5. _________________________________________________

  8. If your machine CPU type is IP25, IP27, IP28, IP30 or IP32, and you
  9. are running IRIX 6.2, 6.3 or 6.4, you may need to install patch 
  10. 1972 that is available on this CD.  This patch will fix certain
  11. problems with PatchFinder that we detected on those following platforms.
  12.  
  13. To figure out your machine CPU type, type:
  14.         % uname -m
  15. To install the patch, please do the following command as root:
  16.  
  17. - on a shell prompt:
  18.         # inst -f </CDROM/dist/OS/all/1972>
  19.   where, /CDROM is where the CD is located, and OS is either 6.2, 6.3, 
  20.   or 6.4.
  21.  
  22. - using patchFinder:
  23.         1. Make sure you click all of the options on "Search for
  24.            Patch By" box.
  25.         2. Put "1972" in the "Find text area"
  26.         3. Hit the "Search" button
  27.         4. Select the result and hit the "Download Patch" button.
  28.         5. Install the patch and restart patchfinder.
